Community Partnerships

Greater Nashua Habitat is a proud partner of United Way's Safety Net Community Investment Fund which provides participating local area nonprofits with much needed funding support. For us, this partnership means we will be able to continue our mission of building affordable and sustainable homes in our community as well as continue to make vital home repairs for existing local homeowners in order to stay safe in their own homes. We are so grateful to United Way for all of the hard work they do and support they give to our community!

About United Way of Greater Nashua

United Way of Greater Nashua is an independent, non-profit organization controlled by local donors. It was established in 1930 when business leaders helped raise $42,677 to assist local families who were suffering from the community’s greatest problems of the time: the Great Depression and the aftermath of the Crown Hill fire.

We’ve been here ever since, bringing together donors, businesses, non-profits, government, and faith-based communities to make our region a stronger, healthier place to learn, live and work for all of us.

We invest in the building blocks of a good quality life namely:

  • Health
  • Education
  • Economic Mobility

We just love to partner with The Front Door agency! We have worked together quite a few times and look forward to many more opportunities to work with them in the future! Our Core Build Crew volunteered their time, labor and construction skills to build a swing set (purchased from a grant from Conway Area); for the families living in our Vine Street housing facility. We also invited them to our Playhouse Project build and Law Family Companies jumped in to sponsor them in this exciting event. Their team did an amazing job building, painting and decorating the playhouse that they will keep for their Norwell Home!

About The Front Door Agency

The Front Door Agency helps local residents transition from crisis to self-sufficiency and their programs are designed to complement each other as we provide a holistic approach to helping those in need. Each program is designed to help empower people to make permanent life changes while still providing assistance with immediate basic needs. We believe that providing the path to self-sufficiency is the first step to helping families achieve independence.
