LEADERSHIP – Board Members
Deb Chisholm is an environmental project manager at Nobis Engineering in Lowell, MA. She has spent the last 26 years in the industry working to clean up hazardous waste sites. She grew up in Nashua where she continues to live with her 3 children and her dog. Deb joined the Habitat Board to help provide affordable housing and make a difference in her community.
Denise Closson is the Vice President of the Board of Director’s, Denise is the current Human Resource Coordinator and Book Keeper at Crown Dental. She is the former Book Keeper at Life Coping since 2000. Denise is instrumental in administration of the human resource functions at GNHFH and is an active member of the build teams and volunteers her time at the ReStore.
Sara Balerna is a certified public accountant licensed in the State of NH. She works as a municipal auditor at Melanson Health, a public accounting firm. Sara has been at Melanson Health for six years, and has been an audit supervisor for almost two years. She is from Norwood, MA and currently resides in Chelmsford. She is currently working towards her Master’s Degree, with only one semester remaining
Tom Osgood is retired, after working 30 years with Ace Hardware Corporation, most recently as Northeast Regional Sales Manager. He is a veteran, having served in the NH Air National Guard. In addition to Habitat, Tom is a certified mentor and the chairman of the Merrimack Valley Chapter of SCORE.
Nora Boyle is a retired IT Director whose career included managing large scale software implementations and global technology organizations. She also was a volunteer tutor for over 15 years with the Nashua Adult Learning Center.
Angela is the current Director of Marketing Operations at Upland Software and the Founder and Inspirationalist of Be Happy, Stay Happy LLC. Angela is the previous Senior Marketing Operations Manager and Director of Marketing Operations at Qvidian. Angela is instrumental in GNHFH’s marketing and outreach initiatives and is the senior leader of our marketing team.
Mary Jarril comes to this board with over 43 years’ experience in logistics planning and operations both in the civilian sector and with 32 years in the US Army. Her backgrounds also include transportation operations, maintenance operations, supply chain management and logistics budget planning. She has an MBA with a concentration in Contracting and Acquisition. Mary has been on the build crew for 5 years as a team leader and a board member as Vice President.
Cindi Owning is Co-Owner of Viking Roofing in Hollis, NH. Viking Roofing offers more than 50 years of combined roofing and metalworking experience, and provides expert advice on roofing materials, methods and designs to preserve the integrity of residential, commercial and historic properties. Cindi is quite interested in providing people a leg up just as she does with her investment in her employees.
Ken Recke is a self-described “career UPS’er” for over 27 years, Mr. Recke is Director of Plant Engineering for the UPS Northeast District. As part of the UPS district leadership staff, Mr. Recke is an active member of the company’s crisis planning and preparedness Incident Response Team and Safety Council. He is also Chair of UPS’s Northeast District Congressional Awareness Committee, and is an avid supporter of the UPS Neighbor to Neighbor employee volunteer program and Women’s Business Resource Group. Mr. Recke earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from SUNY at Buffalo where he met his wife, Suzanne, who is an occupational therapist. He resides in Hollis with his wife and daughter.
Deborah comes to GNHFH as a seasoned financial specialist with over 7 years of experience in the banking and financial services field. Deborah is the current Branch and Business Development Manager at Merrimack County Savings Bank and was the previous AVP Financial Services Manager at People’s United Bank. Deb has lent her financial acumen to GNHFH to assist with fiscal management and regulatory adherence.
Bill Stoughton is GNHFH’s former President and current build crew and family selection committee member. He has been involved with Habitat’s mission and has helped to make sure it’s vision has been carried out in the past and still today. He was a lawyer for many years before retiring. After retirement Bill has dedicated his time to improving his community and helping those within it.
