Build in Wilton – Thursday, August 26th and Saturday, August 28th
This week, we’ll continue with volunteer framing at our new home site at the corner of Russell and Maple Streets in Wilton.
Volunteer work: Finish laying out bottom plates, build, sheath, and raise exterior walls. Plumb and square.
Directions from NH-101A:
Heading WEST out of Nashua: Turn LEFT after NH-101 overpass to take the RT-101 W ramp toward PETERBOROUGH/KEENE, merging onto NH-101 (Milford bypass). Caution: temporary 45 mph speed limit for construction is being enforced 24/7. 4.9 mi to -
2. Turn LEFT onto ELM ST/NH-101. 0.8 mi to -
3. Turn (bear) RIGHT onto WILTON RD. 0.5 mi to -
4. WILTON RD becomes MAIN ST. 0.3 mi to -
5. Turn RIGHT onto RUSSELL ST. 0.1 mi to -
6. End at site on the right, corner RUSSELL ST & MAPLE ST.
See as many of you as can make it, starting by 9:00AM.
Completed since last Saturday:
Russell Street, Wilton: Sewer / water lines / perimeter drain run, basement floor poured with sump pump, initial backfill completed, temporary power panel installed. Installed rim and floor joists, then plywood flooring to cap foundation. Started laying out bottom plates, raised front wall.
Upcoming events:
Russell Street, Wilton: Continue with framing. Still seeking donations / deals.
Other small projects being coordinated.
No construction planned over the Labor Day weekend (Saturday, September 4th).
