Build – November 1 – Postponed

Thursday, October 30th, 2008

UPDATE: Construction is cancelled for Saturday November 1st, due to hospitalization in client’s family. Should be able to start flooring on Saturday 8th. Regret short notice.
Meanwhile, the family has already removed most of the carpeting and tack strip, which will speed up the work when resumed.
Thanks for bearing with us.

This Saturday, we’ll start installation of laminate flooring to remove a mold hazard for an autistic child. This will be indoor work, starting by removing the existing carpeting, then placing vapor barrier before laying the floor.

Join us at the Nashua Winter Holiday Stroll

Tuesday, October 21st, 2008

We are having a bake sale during the Nashua Winter Holiday Stroll on Saturday November 29th from 5 PM – 9 PM.  It will be held at the United Methodist Church on Main St.  Last years bake sale was very successful and over $600 was raised thanks to the wonderful donations we received.  We are hoping to do even better this year!

Once again we are asking for baked good donations and volunteers.  If you are interested in baking something for the sale, or volunteering to help at the bake sale, please contact Ellen Svenson by leaving a comment here or call her at 882-5953 and leave a message.  All donations will be greatly appreciated!

Build – October 11

Wednesday, October 8th, 2008

This Saturday, we’re planning three very small indoor jobs. For planning, we’ll handle them in the following order, but will consider parallel work depending on volunteer availability on Saturday.

(1) 53 Arlington Street, Nashua. Shore up basement beam that is not supporting the living area floor above

(2) 34 New Searles Street, Nashua. Add handicapped grab bars on either side of the main hallway at the top of the basement stairs.

(3) 58 Parkhurst Rd., Merrimack. Install plastic sheeting over insulation on basement ceiling to evaluate possible cause of allergies.
